Drillosophy is an educational video series exploring contemporary music culture, urban sociology and philosophy.

Each episode is accompanied by PDF resources for young people and facilitators.


Episode 1: Skengdo’s Cave

This episode explores how an idea from ancient Greek philosophy, Plato’s Cave, can be applied to UK drill music to understand how education can affect our perception of the world.


Episode 2: Therapy In The Trap

This episode applies Aristotle’s concept of ‘catharsis’ to frame storytelling in UK rap and drill music as a form of therapy. Featuring music from Pop Smoke, Ambush, Knucks and Krept & Konan.
